hey look, another one of these free archives from the radio show. this time i was joined by my buddy guii, a close friend and fellow musician. their debut album Lavender came out just last month so i was really excited to have them on the show. together we talked about indie music, inspiration, and what it takes to record an album.
a had about an hour to spare before i hung out with a friend so i thought...you know what i should do? an entire radio broadcast. i talked about juggalo culture and video games and even flushed a fucking toilet. welcome to the radio business, baby.
answering more questions from social media! all the main platforms. a little tumblr, mostly twitter, some snapchat thrown in there. god knows what we even talked about it, i barely listen to myself when i speak anymore.
another week another ME. that's right, i'm back and won't shut up again. this time i take a couple hours out of my day and talk to snapchat. people sent questions over and i did my best to talk about those things without sounding stupid. enjoy.
howdy. i was feeling kind of crummy yesterday so i decided to plug in my microphone and talk into it while looking out a very big window. i hope you enjoy this broadcast. it's just me. no guests, no live callers, nothing was planned or scripted. just me occasionally checking twitter and getting some stuff out. it made me feel a lot better.
hello. sorry for the three week absence, i was moving! that's right, suckers. i ended up getting the place! i'm still getting settled in, but i figured as long as i have a laptop and my microphones i can start broadcasting again. this episode is especially laid back. the kind of laid back where you just got done eating a bunch of chinese food with a friend and sit on the floor for a couple hours talking about 90s cartoons. good stuff.
it's friday! that means one thing babyyy...i get to finally tweet that stupid flintstones themed "have a great weekend" glitter gif that i found like a month ago but keep forgetting to post. i found it at like 3am and tbh it's not even funny to me anymore, i just want to post it so i can finally delete it off my desktop. it's not like it takes up any space on my computer or really even on my desktop, i just hate looking at it because it reminds me of every monday that i've been on my computer and saw it and thought, "shit!". almost like i'm, i don't know, like i'm being outsmarted by a stupid glitter gif or something. not for long, though! soon it'll be gone. ahhh, yup. today is the day.
oh also new flatsound radio.
howdy, it's me again. except it's a weird version of me who has an upset and nervous stomach but, despite being kind of sick, i still didn't want to miss the weekly friday upload! so...here it is. i took some VERY long calls and got the chance to talk to a handful of people about hurricanes and band geeks and anything else they wanted to talk with me about. enjoy!
we've got a long episode here! over two hours, actually. i mostly complained about the heat wave that southern california is currently having, but also took small breaks from that to talk about smelly fruits and even take a few live callers.
a very intimate little noise broadcast recorded late at night. thank you to the people who were listening live. the ones who fell asleep to this, who told me nice things while it was being created, or the ones who stuck around after it ended and got to hear the new songs. sorry to those of you who missed it, you'll hear them soon enough! until then, i hope this one hour broadcast is nice to listen to.
keeping it going, right on schedule, with another public friday upload of flatsound radio. this week i was joined by blath, a not so unexpected guest of the live broadcast. we talked about the bread ghost that lives in my kitchen, siri almost leaked one of my new songs, and then someone drank kfc gravy. all in all, a pretty good afternoon.
so here's how it's going to work...i'm going to continue broadcasting, multiple times a week, like normal. once a week, one of those archived broadcasts will be released for free on here AND itunes like a proper podcast! i hope that's okay! i'm just trying to give a little something to the people who aren't awake during the live broadcasts and don't have money to become a patron.
that being said, patrons of the show will continue to have access to all broadcasts. i'm even brainstorming ways to add even more perks to the $5 tier besides early album access and all radio broadcasts. i appreciate your support that much, it really does mean a lot.
anyway, here's your first official weekly installment of flatsound radio! this broadcast was FUN. it was the first time i was able to do live callers (21:25) and i'm still kind of impressed that it worked out so well. i also talked to people about whether or not they saw the sunset and, like always, interacted with twitter as they made fun of me a little. good show!
