hello. what an incredibly busy month it’s been. new flatsound, hopefully some new wishing, not to mention DB (dear billie) is flying home in just a couple weeks! am i excited? yes. lol what the hell. what a ridiculous thing to even ask me.

anyway, the new flatsound ep is called last minute cycle. unlike the acoustic, stripped down recordings of on a tv that no one saw from earlier this year, last minute cycle is very synthetic. drum machines, synths, midi, sad lyrics. i’m really excited for you to hear it. but i’ll get more into that release when it comes out, in the meantime here’s a song that isn’t on that album at all. it’s just a little something i did on my multitrack that i never showed you.

sometimes when i’m writing a song i’ll actually take my sixteen track into my room and write the lyrics while laying in bed. i’ll lay there with my headphones and an sm57 microphone, eyes closed, just listening to it on repeat in the dark and taking down any lines that feel important to me when i’m half asleep. i’m not suggesting that you try that, i guess i’m just saying that i sometimes do it.
